PROJECT Z UPDATE

Its official, according to the Disney Blog, everything about the mysterious Project Z will revealed at the vinylmation event happening at the Florida Project. I'm gonna be honest with you, I am hoping for a new size of figure. Maybe something inbetween, like a five inch mold. I dont think that is going to happen though. Everything I have been hearing is pointing in the direction of a new type of mold or new series. It would make no sense to have vinylmation figures not shaped like Mickey. Disney already has a line of figures out like that called "POP VINYLS". Also, it looks like a new line in the shape of Duffy the Bear will be arriving early next year. Who know, should be very interesting to say the least.

The return of Animation #1

I was in the Magic Kingdom yesterday morning and stumbled upon a happy accident. Animation #1 boxes were everywhere!!! There a few boxes in the Main Street Emporium. There was opne in Mickey's Star-Trader's, 1 in the Art of Disney, and 1 more in The Frontierland trading post. They were also in Downtown Disney.

As you will notice from the photos, there have been changes to the boxes. There is a new blue area on the side of the box and the label on the bottom is diffrent. The label on the bottom looks like a generic one from the Disney Store. If you look closely, you can see how the price portion is preforated and can be easily removed. It good to see these figures making a comeback. I t will give everyone a chance to complete their collection before Animation #2 comes out in late fall. As always, happy collecting!

URBAN 5 AND HAVE A LAUGH HAVE BEEN MARKED DOWN TO $5.99

I would call this the calm before the storm. There are a lot of new vinylmations coming out this holiday season. It looks like the mouse is preparing for the onslaught of new product by trying to get rid of some of the old. At select stores in WDW, certain figures have been reduced to $5.99. The Urban 5 series, Have a Laugh, and the 2011 open edition window box series have all be reduced. I have found these prices at D-STREET, the pin store in Downtown Disney, and the Frontierland trading post in the Magic Kingdom. Also, some of the ear hat combos were marked 25% off at the Frontierland trading post. They had the Animal Muppet hat, Cutesters 2, and a couple of Urban 7's. Get Them while you can. Happy hunting!

WHERE'S THAT BOBCAT?

Disney will be releasing this Disney Afternoon Bonkers 2-pack at both D-Street locations on September 2nd. Its awesome that they are giving the fan a chance to wait in line again for these amazing sets. The last two Disney Afternoon 2-packs have only been available on-line. I am sure everyone remembers how that worked out. When The chip and Dale set came out, we got there around 8AM. I am sure the line is going to be huge. The retail is $26.95. They are limited to 1,000 pieces. ha;f over here and the other half in Anaheim. It is usually limited to 2 per person. Good luck and see you there next week!!!

Spooky? Isn't It?

So, I was the opening of the Disney store yesterday at the Florida mall in Orlando. We were there about 2 hours before the 10AM opening. All of the cast members were asking everyone what they were most excited about getting when they got into the store. Anyone have any guest as towhat my answer was? Anyone? You guessed it, Vinylmations! It is so awesome that the local Disney fans can now get their hands on the Disney Store only exclusives. The first one I grabbed was the brand new 2-pack in the new Spooky series. Spooky series #1 includes Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Mickey is dressed up as Frakensteins Monster and Minnie is dressed up as the Bride of FrankenStein. They are done in the new mold. Both figures have a "head peice" on which really gives them the spooky look. I am really excited to see what new figures will be coming out in this line.

Disney unveiled their Lion King 3 inch vinylmation set this past weekend at the D23 EXPO in Anaheim, CA. They will be available at all Disney Store locations and the Disney Store on-line only, on August 29th. The Disney Blog has just revealed the first image of the first 9 inch + JR. combo-pack. It will be Rafiki and a baby Simba. From what I understand, this figure will only be available at select Disney stores across the country. Unfortunately, the new Disneystore that opened at the Florida mall in Orlando yesterday is not on the list. I guess I have to power up the kayak again to go get this one!!!

Whats your Sign? Astrology gets a release date!!!!

Disney Blog has announced that the 3 inch open edition window box astrology set will be releaed on September 9th with a price of $12.95. They will also be available at the store at the Florida Project on September 11th!!! With a lot of the window box sets, i tend to only get the ones I like....in this case it would be two!!! I was born on the cuspe of Aries and Taurus!!!

Aloha....Brand new exclusive for brand new DVC resort!!!!!

In a flood of new information pouring out of the Disney Vinylmation machine, the Disney blog has announced a brand new 3 inch window box exclusive coming to The Aulani DVC resort in Hawaii. This open edition figure will only be available at the resort. It is using the new mold. Anyone else want to kayak 2,000 miles across the Pacific?

A brand new treat coming to D-STREET just in time for halloween!!!!!

Disney announced this brand new 3 inch figure yesterday!!!! Its is going to be an open window box figure and open edition as well. As you can see, it is using the old mold. I am not ready to give my opinion on which mold I like better, It is still too soon to tell.

The first Post!!!!!

Welcome to Vinylmation information!!!!!! This site will be dedicated to the fans of vinylmation collecting and trading! As the news is released, it will be posted here! There are a ton of new collections coming out this year and a lot of current vinyls that are worth talking about!!! We are going to try and make this site as fan-based as possible!!! If there is anything that you dont see here that would like to read about, we would love to get it up here for you. The vinylmation fan community has seen amazing growth since its beginning way back in December of 2008, this site will continue the support that the fan community deserves!!!
